Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry was founded in the year 2006 under the parent society Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS). Recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI), our college has the most vibrant and dynamic institution in the field of dental education. The institute offers BDS undergraduate program for 100 admissions annually and MDS postgraduate program in all the 9 specialties of dentistry. Our institute has a multi-faceted service mission encompassing patient care and community outreach and education. We are committed to equip students with value based and globally comparable skills.

Students are encouraged for all round performance in curricular, extra-curricular activities. There is a shift from focusing on mere teaching to an emphasis on active learning through the mediated methods. Our student centric clinical training provides an opportunity to learn the current concepts efficiently. To support the regular teaching, students are also engaged with clinical discussions, remedial teaching, pedagogy and interdisciplinary meets, CDEs, seminars and field programs. The outreach activities through the peripheral centers and dental camps sensitize the student’s field experiences needed for understanding the needs of the rural population.

The college has become one of the largest providers of low-cost dental care in the state through comprehensive state-of-the-art clinical service.
