Sri Aurobindo University Strengthens Community Healthcare Through Seva Sankalp Abhiyan

Demonstrating its commitment to community welfare, social responsibility and accessible healthcare, Sri Aurobindo University actively contributed to a comprehensive Free Preventive Health Camp organised under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, on the occasion of the birthday of Honble Kamal Ji Patel.

The initiative brought together the District Administration, Health Department, Harda, and Sri Aurobindo Hospital, Indore, with the shared objective of taking preventive healthcare and specialist medical guidance closer to communities in Harda and surrounding areas. The camp was organised at Government District Hospital, Harda, providing people with access to expert consultations, preventive screenings and essential diagnostic services without financial barriers.

Specialist consultations were made available across diverse areas, including Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, and cancer screening services covering breast, cervical, oral and dental health. A range of diagnostic facilities, including mammography, Pap smear, colposcopy, ultrasonography, 2D Echo, FibroScan, ECG, blood pressure, blood sugar and haemoglobin testing, further strengthened the preventive healthcare outreach.

A significant component of the initiative was the SAIMS Tele Command Centre, enabling patients in Harda to connect with specialist doctors at SAIMS, Indore through teleconsultation. The initiative demonstrated the meaningful role of technology in expanding access to specialised medical expertise.

The outreach was further strengthened through Umeedon Wali Bus – Pink Promise on Wheels, Sri Aurobindo Dental Hospital on Wheels, and Womens Wellness Hospital on Wheels, extending specialised screening and awareness services to the community.

Through such initiatives, Sri Aurobindo University continues to translate its vision of education, healthcare and social responsibility into meaningful community impact, working towards a healthier and more empowered society.
