Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry Celebrated Dentists Day at Royal Raman School Indore

The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry Sri Aurobindo University SAU commemorated Dentists Day by organizing an extensive Oral Health Screening Camp along with interactive Health Awareness Sessions at Royal Raman School Indore on 24th December 2025. The program aimed to promote holistic child wellness by addressing both oral health and personal safety awareness among school children. The camp was led by Professor Dr. Binti Chand, and the organizing team includes Dr. Shraddha Sharma Dr. Kashika Jarwal and Dr. Vaishnavi Shinde Postgraduate students and Dr. Anu Kumari Tutor from the department. The event began with an informative health talk on Personal Hygiene delivered in an age appropriate and interactive format to help children understand personal safety and the importance of selfhygiene. This was followed by a detailed oral hygiene awareness session where students learned proper brushing methods diet considerations the role of fluoride and the significance of regular dental checkups. The session encouraged children to adopt preventive habits essential for maintaining longterm oral health. A comprehensive oral health screening was conducted for students across various classes during which around 200 children were examined. Each child received individualized dental advice based on their oral findings ensuring early identification of common dental issues such as caries and gingival inflammation. This initiative helped raise awareness among children about their oral health needs and the importance of seeking timely care. To motivate students further, oral hygiene kits were distributed as a token of appreciation, encouraging them to stay consistent with good oral hygiene practices. The children participated enthusiastically throughout the program, demonstrating curiosity and eagerness to learn.
