Dr. Mahak Bhandari, Pro-Chancellor, Sri Aurobindo University, Indore, participated as Faculty and Expert Speaker at SRS India 2026, held from 2–4 October 2026 at Le Méridien, New Delhi. The conference brought together leading surgeons, robotic surgery experts and academic professionals to discuss emerging developments in robotic surgery, surgical education and the evolving landscape of technology-driven healthcare.

On 4 October 2026, Dr. Mahak Bhandari delivered a presentation on Training Opportunities for Young Robotic Surgeons in India during the GI Track at Sovereign Hall. His session focused on the growing need for structured and appropriate training pathways for young surgeons as robotic surgery continues to expand across surgical specialties in India.

Drawing from his experience as a Laparoscopic, Bariatric and Robotic Surgeon, Dr. Mahak Bhandari highlighted the importance of building strong surgical fundamentals alongside familiarity with advanced robotic platforms. He emphasised that effective robotic training requires a systematic approach involving mentorship, simulation-based learning, hands-on exposure and progressive development of technical and clinical skills.

His session also addressed the opportunities available to young surgeons in India and the importance of creating an academic environment where emerging professionals can gain the right guidance to adopt advanced surgical technologies responsibly and confidently. The discussion reinforced that technology alone does not define excellence in robotic surgery appropriate training, clinical judgement and continuous learning remain equally important.
