SAIMS College of Nursing Takes Pledge Against Addiction in Special Awareness Session
As part of the nationwide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and Mission Spandan, SAIMS College of Nursing recently organized an insightful awareness session on de-addiction, held in loving memory of Dadi Prakashmani Ji. The initiative is a part of the larger "10 Crore Nasha Mukti Pratigya Mahaabhiyan", being conducted across the country from 6th to 20th August 2026 by the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Medical Wing, under Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation.
The session was led by Brahma Kumari Asha Didi Ji, who spoke on the importance of meditation, positive thinking, self-awareness, and inner strength as powerful tools in overcoming addiction. Through her engaging and thoughtful approach, she encouraged students and faculty to reflect on their inner potential and the role of mindfulness in building a life free from harmful dependencies.
Making the session truly interactive, Asha Didi Ji involved the audience in meaningful discussions and exercises, helping them understand the deeper connection between mental clarity, emotional stability, and freedom from addiction. The session culminated in a collective pledge against addiction, taken by all students and faculty members present, symbolizing their commitment to a healthier and more conscious way of living.
The programme concluded with a powerful message - that addiction-free living begins with positive thoughts and conscious choices. The collective pledge was a meaningful step towards nurturing a healthier mind, a healthier lifestyle, and, ultimately, an addiction-free society.
Sri Aurobindo University and SAIMS College of Nursing extend their gratitude to the Brahma Kumaris Om Shanti Bhavan, New Palasia, for organizing this enriching and thought-provoking session, and remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote holistic well-being among students.
