SAIMS Conducts CPR Training Program on National CPR Day
National CPR Day the Department of Pediatrics Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences SAIMS Indore successfully organized a comprehensive CPR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Program for hospital ward attendants ICU attendants, and nursing staff at Lotus Hall.
The training program aimed to enhance emergency preparedness by equipping frontline healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical skills required to respond effectively during cardiac emergencies. More than 100 healthcare professionals actively participated in the hands-on session, reinforcing SAIMS' commitment to excellence in patient safety and quality healthcare.
The session was conducted under the expert guidance of Lead Instructor Dr Nandini Sodha and Course Coordinator Dr Shruti Saxena who provided detailed demonstrations and practical training on the latest Basic CPR techniques. Participants learned the critical steps involved in identifying cardiac arrest at an early stage activating emergency response systems performing high quality chest compressions and delivering timely life saving interventions.
The interactive workshop emphasized the importance of immediate action during medical emergencies enabling participants to build confidence in handling real life situations. Through simulation based learning and practical demonstrations attendees gained valuable experience in performing CPR according to standard emergency care protocols.
Speaking on the significance of the initiative the organizers highlighted that timely and effective CPR can significantly improve survival rates in cases of sudden cardiac arrest. Regular training programs such as these ensure that healthcare professionals remain prepared to provide immediate and appropriate care when every second matters.
