SAIMS College of Nursing Hosts Drug Awareness Programme

As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaanthe Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under the guidance of the District Collector organized a comprehensive Drug Awareness Programme at SAIMS College of Nursing to educate students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and promote a drug free lifestyle.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of Dr Prof Reshmi Siby Principal SAIMS College of Nursing, and was coordinated by Mrs Synthia Singh George Head of the Department of Mental Health Nursing. The initiative aimed to create awareness among nursing students about addiction prevention mental health and their role in building a healthier society.
The event featured insightful sessions by distinguished resource persons Shri Ajay Sharma Sub Inspector Narcotics Wing Madhya Pradesh and Shri Rajat Nagda State Level Drug De addiction Trainer. Through interactive presentations and discussions they educated students on the psychological social and physical consequences of substance abuse the importance of early prevention and the legal provisions under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances NDPS Act.
The programme reflected SAIMS College of Nursings commitment to promoting public health preventive education and social responsibility. By supporting national initiatives such as the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan the institution continues to inspire students to become compassionate healthcare professionals and responsible citizens dedicated to building a healthier, safer, and addiction free India.
