National Surgeons Week 2026 Surgeon Wellness Day Celebrated at SAIMS Indore
The Department of General Surgery Sri Aurobindo Medical College and Post Graduate Institute SAIMS Indore, proudly celebrated Surgeon Wellness Day on 13th June 2026 as part of the nationwide observance of National Surgeons Week 2026.
The event was organized under the divine blessings and visionary guidance of Honrable Chancellor Madam Dr. Manjushree Bhandari and Founder Chairman Dr. Vinod Bhandari whose unwavering commitment to excellence in medical education and healthcare continues to inspire the institution.
The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members postgraduate residents interns undergraduate students and staff members highlighting the growing importance of physical mental and emotional wellbeing among healthcare professionals.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. R. R. Wavare Dean SAIMS Dr. Jaishree Tapadiya Dean Student Welfare Dr. Anand Mishra Registrar Sri Aurobindo University along with faculty members and residents from the Department of General Surgery.
The day commenced with an energizing Walkathon, promoting the importance of regular physical activity and healthy living. This was followed by a rejuvenating Yoga and Wellness Session conducted amidst the serene surroundings of the SAIMS campus encouraging participants to embrace mindfulness stress management, and overall wellness.
A significant highlight of the event was the Wellness Pledge where participants collectively committed themselves to maintaining a healthy lifestyle prioritizing self care and fostering habits that contribute to better patient care through healthier healthcare providers.
Through such activities SAIMS continues to reinforce its commitment to surgical excellence physician well being and compassionate patient care fostering a healthier future for both healthcare professionals and the communities they serve.
