Scientific Session on PET Scan Organized at SAIMS

A scientific session on PET Scan was successfully organized at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences on 23rd May 2026 at Lotus Hall SAIMS. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and postgraduate students from various departments.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Vinod Bhandari Founder Chairman SAIMS. The symposium on Basics & Role of PET-CT was moderated by Dr. Dilip Kumar Acharya Adjunct Professor Surgery and Director Department of Preventive Oncology.

Mishra, Director SAIMMER and Head Division of Cyclotron and Radiopharmaceutical Sciences on Cyclotron details Dr. Ashwini Sood Professor and Head Department of Nuclear Medicine on Cardiac Perfusion Ammonia and Radionuclide Therapy Dr. Arun Chouhan Associate Professor Department of Nuclear Medicine on FES Clinical Uses Dr. Anurag Jain, Professor Department of Nuclear Medicine, on PET CT Guided Biopsy and Dr. Piyush Aggarwal Assistant Professor Department of Nuclear Medicine on PET in Non Oncology Diseases.
Dr. G.N. Mahapatra Director Department of Nuclear Medicine and PETCT shared insights on PET SPECT based Cardiac Imaging and General Nuclear Medicine procedures at SAIMS. The session also included the introduction of the PET Scan team followed by an interactive Q and A session.
