Sri Aurobindo University was honoured to welcome PROF. Dr Saroj Kant Mishra, a highly acclaimed General Surgeon, visionary academician, and pioneer in the field of Endocrine Surgery and Telemedicine in India, for an insightful lecture session at IRCAD India. During the session, he shared his vast knowledge and experience on the evolving scope of Endocrine Surgery and the growing impact of Telemedicine in modern healthcare. His lecture provided students with valuable clinical insights and inspired them to explore innovation, technology, and excellence in the medical field.

PROF. Dr S. K. MISHRA is widely recognized as the Founder of India’s first academic Department of Endocrine Surgery at SGPGIMS, Lucknow, established in 1989. He also played a pioneering role in introducing and developing the Telemedicine Program at SGPGIMS, contributing significantly to the advancement of accessible healthcare in India.

Prior to the lecture session, PROF. Dr Saroj Kant Mishra met with Sri Aurobindo University Founder Chairman Dr Vinod Bhandari, where they exchanged thoughts on advancements in medical education, healthcare innovation, and the future of technology-driven learning in medicine.

During his visit, he also interacted with Dr Mohit Bhandari, Founder and Director of Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics, and a renowned Bariatric, Metabolic, and Robotic Surgeon. Their discussion focused on the future of advanced surgical technologies, innovation in patient care, and the growing role of robotics and telemedicine in healthcare.

Additionally, PROF. Dr S. K. MISHRA met Dr Mahak Bhandari, Managing Director of SAIMS and Consultant Laparoscopic Surgeon. The interaction reflected a shared vision toward strengthening medical education, surgical excellence, and innovation-driven healthcare practices.
The visit marked an inspiring and knowledge-enriching experience for students, faculty, and healthcare professionals associated with Sri Aurobindo University and IRCAD India.
