World Cancer Day Observed at Sri Aurobindo University and SAIMS

Sri Aurobindo University and Sri Aurobindo Medical College and Postgraduate Institute SAIMS observed World Cancer Day with a comprehensive awareness programme at Dr C P Tiwari Auditorium. The event focused on strengthening cancer awareness prevention and early detection through academic and clinical initiatives. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Vinod Bhandari Sir Founder Chairman in the presence of Dr Mahak Bhandari Sir Pro Chancellor Dr A K Mishra Sir Vice Chancellor Dr Jayshree Tapadia Maam Dean Student Welfare Dr Jyoti Bindal Maam Dr Dilip Acharya and other esteemed dignitaries who marked their presence. The occasion was further dignified by the virtual presence of Honble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav Ji. Key highlights of the programme included the inauguration of the Department of Preventive Oncology issuance of cancer detection cards launch of CerviScreen an AI based cervical cancer screening application software development in collaboration with IIT Indore and the development of a uterus cancer screening scheme. These initiatives reflect the institution’s commitment to innovation technology driven healthcare and community oriented cancer prevention. Through this observance Sri Aurobindo University and SAIMS reaffirmed their dedication to creating awareness promoting early diagnosis and advancing comprehensive cancer care for the benefit of society.
