A New Chapter in Advanced Medical Training Begins at SAIMS Indore
Sri Aurobindo Medical College and Postgraduate Institute SAIMS Indore has proudly commenced the first batch of the Certificate Course in Molecular Cytogenetics Karyotyping and FISH marking a significant milestone in advanced medical education in Madhya Pradesh. This pioneering academic initiative reflects SAIMS commitment to strengthening specialized training and research oriented learning in the field of molecular diagnostics. The programme has been conceptualized and is being led by Dr Susmit Kosta Principal Investigator Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics and is supported by the Department of Health Research Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India. The course is designed to provide a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge along with extensive hands on laboratory training in karyotyping and FISH enabling participants to perform analyze and interpret cytogenetic investigations for both clinical and research applications. The institute expresses its sincere gratitude to the visionary leadership of Dr Vinod Bhandari Sir Founder Chairman SAIMS and Sri Aurobindo University for his continuous encouragement and support. Appreciation is also extended to the dedicated faculty members and organizing team whose efforts have been instrumental in the successful launch of this programme. The first batch commencing in February 2026 represents the first cytogenetics training initiative of its kind in Madhya Pradesh. SAIMS wishes all participants a rewarding and transformative learning journey as they embark on this advanced training programme.
