World Diabetes Day Celebrated - Blue Santa Camp 2025
The Department of Pediatrics and Endocrinology SAIMS Sri Aurobindo University beautifully organized the Blue Santa Camp 2025 on 13th November 2025 filling the campus with joy learning, and compassion. Dedicated to children living with Type 1 Diabetes this years camp embraced the theme Integrated Medicine in Type 1 Diabetes blending the strength of modern endocrinology with the wisdom of traditional healing. A special highlight of the event was The Bija Plant Initiative showcasing the incredible potential of Vijaysar (Pterocarpus marsupium) the ancient sugar tree. The research shared during the camp revealed promising outcomes in improving glycemic control reducing oxidative stress and enhancing overall wellbeing among young diabetes warriors.
