Global Medical Laboratory Week Celebration
The Department of Biochemistry proudly observed Global Medical Laboratory Week from 21st to 27th April, celebrating the vital role of laboratory professionals in healthcare. Events saw enthusiastic participation from technicians, postgraduates, and faculty members across all four sections of the SAIMS Clinical & Molecular Biology Laboratory.
- Day 1: Dumb Charades
- Day 2: Video Making Competition on “Lab Saves Lives” theme – judged and graced by Dr. Jaishree Tapadia, Dean, Student Welfare, who lauded the zeal of the technicians. Followed by a cake-cutting celebration.
- Day 3: Beg, Borrow, Steal – A creative game on NABL & NABH knowledge.
- Day 4: Shark Tank – Participants pitched lab products and won the crowd!
- Day 5: Man Behind the Machine – A heartwarming felicitation of lab technicians by 1st-year MBBS students. Dr. Sanjay Dixit Sir honored MBBS students for innovative classroom activities and 27 Biochemistry electives for their exceptional lab work. Ended with another sweet cake-cutting moment.
- Day 6: Fireless Cooking – Our technicians showcased their culinary flair beyond machines!
Faculty from Pathology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry enthusiastically judged the events and enjoyed the spirit of togetherness.
The celebrations concluded with a grand Prize Distribution Ceremony on 29th April, featuring Best Dressed Awards for technicians, PGs, and faculty. The winners were honored by Dr. Mahak Bhandari Sir, whose inspiring words uplifted everyone present.
