SAU hosted a CME titled Variant Vibes: Staying Ahead of the Curve in Hemoglobin Analysis
The Department of Biochemistry at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, in collaboration with Sebia, hosted a hybrid CME event titled Variant Vibes: Staying Ahead of the Curve in Hemoglobin Analysis on September 30, 2024. Organized under the leadership of Organizing Chairperson Dr. Kavitarati Dharwardkar and Organizing Secretary Dr. Anisha Mathew, the CME emphasized the early diagnosis of hemoglobinopathies, various diagnostic methods, and newborn screening for hemoglobin variants.
The event also highlighted the role of protein electrophoresis in diagnosis. The CME was one of its kind as interactive sessions were planned noy only for the offline line participant but also the online participants to engage participants, interactive quizzes and crosswords were included, making the sessions both informative and enjoyable. Delegates attended offline from Madhya Pradesh, while participants from across India and even internationally joined online. There were nearly 350 online participants. The CME provided a wonderful and enriching experience for all involved.
