Oral Cancer Awareness Campaign
The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology, Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry organized an Oral Cancer Awareness Campaign which extended throughout the month of August. The Torch campaign under which this event was organised is an initiative of the Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists along with Mandala USA.
This was a pan india campaign which began in January 2024, permitting only one college in each state to organize this event which was on a first come first serve basis.
Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology of Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry, Indore got this chance to organise this campaign in Madhya Pradesh.
To create awareness, various competitions were organised by the department like poster making, slogan writing, meme, and skit, in which students of 2nd & 3rd BDS participated.
The department had also created patient awareness pamphlets which were released by the dignitaries and will be distributed to all the patient visiting the dental OPD.
Dr. Jaishree Tapadia ( Dean of Student Welfare, SAU) & Dr. Kanteshwari IK( Principal, SACD) were the guest of honor for the event.
The prize winners of all the competitions were awarded certificates by the dignitaries.
