The MBBS and BDS batch of 2023-24 celebrated their White Coat Ceremony on June 8, 2024, at CP Tiwari Auditorium. This prestigious event marked their transition from classroom to clinical life and was organized under the visionary guidance of our Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Jaishree Tapadia. Her dedication ensured the smooth conduction of the event.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of ex-MLA and president of MPCA, Mr. Akash Vijaywargia. The event began with warm greetings to our chief guest, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. Vinod Bhandari, Dr. Manjushree Bhandari, Dr. Mahak Bhandari, Mrs. Jyoti Bindal, Dr. Jaishree Tapadia, and Dr. RR Wavare.
Dr. Jaishree Tapadia gave a welcome address and presented our distinguished guest, Mr. Vijaywargia, who was met with strong applause. Dr. Mahak Bhandari then described the close relationship with Mr. Vijaywargia and provided insights into the management of our university and hospital. Dr. Vinod Bhandari emphasized the importance of doctors staying connected to society and their patients to provide better care.
Mr. Vijaywargia addressed the audience, emphasizing the importance of competent healthcare professionals, especially in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Manjushree Bhandari highlighted the significance of the white coat ceremony and encouraged doctors to care for themselves as much as their patients.
Following the addresses, students proudly received their white coats on stage. They then took an oath to be honest, empathetic, ethical, and professional under any circumstances. Dr. Kanteshwari Ike delivered the vote of thanks.
