International Fractures In Children Symposium (IFICS) - 2024
With support from Chairman Dr Vinod Bhandari sir, and under guidance of Dr Pradeep Chaudhari sir (HOD Department of Orthopaedics) and Dr Saket Jati sir (President - MP Chapter of IOA), International Fractures In Children Symposium (IFICS)-express was organised by Association of Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeons (APOS), Madhya Pradesh in collaboration with Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Indore (AOSI) at Sri Aurobindo Medical College and Post Graduate Institute, Indore on 2nd of June. The academic feast was graced by internationally renowned faculties - Dr Taral Nagda from Mumbai, Dr Sandeep Patwardhan from Pune and Dr Premal Naik from Ahmedabad.
The event was focused on decision making in treatment of various fractures in children, with special emphasis on surgical techniques and updates in recent literature about fixation of such fractures. Delegates learned about techniques of cast application and intramedullary nailing on bone models from senior faculties via hands-on workshops.
This one of a kind symposium was attended by orthopaedic surgeons from different parts of Madhya Pradesh as well as resident surgeons from various medical colleges like Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, MGM Medical college, Indore
