Cadaveric Oath Ceremony at SAMC & PGI
On 09 Dec 2023, marked a poignant moment at the Department of Anatomy as we conducted the Cadaveric Oath ceremony, a ritual that goes beyond textbooks. Dr. Manjunath V. Motagi, our esteemed Prof. & HOD, welcomed students and faculty, emphasizing the cadaver as their first teacher—instilling empathy, respect, and gratitude.
Honorable founder Chairman, Dr. Vinod Bhandari, shared invaluable insights on body donation, organ transplantation, and the importance of Embalming Techniques. Dr. Jayshree Tapadia, Dean Student Welfare, Sri Aurobindo University, administered the Cadaveric Oath, a crucial step in molding compassionate doctors.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt gesture—flowers offered by faculty and students, symbolizing respect to the silent teachers. This event wouldn't have been possible without the dedicated participation of our passionate faculty and the support of HODs & faculties from various departments.
