The Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry is unique as all dental procedures are performed under one roof. It is an age defined specialty and delivers oral health care to children of 13 years and younger. The department was established in 2005, has spacious area of about 9,000 sq,ft. It is located on the first floor with a UG and PG clinical sections, waiting area, seminar room, departmental library, museum, counseling room, individual offices for all the staff and common room for post graduate students.

Our aim is not only the treatment of the children but also to instill a positive attitude towards the dentistry. We train and impart skills to over 100 students every year and make them ready to face the future challenges. We promote oral health and teach effective preventive measures through our school dental health camps.

Our department is well equipped with latest dental treatment modalities for infants, children and special health care need individuals. Comprehensive treatment for children from restorative techniques to rotary endodontics and minor oral surgery to general anesthesia is practiced under experienced staff with the motto of
