The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics aims to prolong the lifespan of the teeth and relieve the patient from dental pain. The department has a USP of initiating the root canal treatment on the same day without the need for an appointment for immediate relief to the patient.
The department trains the undergraduates and post-graduate students in diagnosis, management, and rehabilitation of the teeth. Students are also trained to perform single visit root canal treatment using rotary files.
The department has separate working areas for undergraduates and postgraduates with its own departmental library and seminar room equipped with a projector.
The department offers state of an art microscope with a high-definition recording facility for documentation of the cases.
The department is also equipped with thermo plasticized gutta-percha, a power bleaching facility, a ceramic lab, and a separate Aesthetic clinic.
Department offers root canal treatment, surgeries, regenerative endodontics, metallic and non-metallic aesthetic restorations. The department also encourages postgraduate students to engage in research activities and publish their research in international journals.
