The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Sri Aurobindo college of dentistry was established in 2006 with the aim of providing quality care at affordable cost. It is today a part of the extensive infrastructure of Sri Aurobindo University, Indore and among a few state of art super specialty hospitals in the country.

The Scope and Spectrum of our specialty is vast ranging from Extraction of teeth, Minor Oral Surgical procedures to Major Surgical Procedures like Craniofacial Surgeries.

We are a surgical specialty of dentistry, focusing on Facial Trauma, Reconstructive Surgeries, TMJ disorders, Diseases of Oral cavity, Mouth and Jaws. Cleft lip and Palate deformity, Head and Neck Oncology, also Facial Cosmetic Surgeries come under our domain. Surgeries to insert osseointegrated Dental Implants and Maxillofacial Implants for attaching Craniofacial Prostheses like nose/ear are also done.

We have highly equipped Modular Operation Theatres with designated staff in our hospital with separate Male and Female wards . We also have separate undergraduate and post graduate sections and a minor surgical unit with a total of 46 Dental Chairs out of which 11 are dedicated to PG section.

Our department is running a successful post graduate program since 2012. We have given many good Surgeons who are successfully providing health care services in the county. Also every year 100 Undergraduates learn basics like, Extractions, Minor Surgeries, Suturing Techniques, Wiring Techniques and also get an exposure to the Operation Theatre and its protocols.

The Department is Holistically Spearheaded by, Dr. Geeti Vajdi Mitra, Professor and Head of the department with more than 25 years of experience and a team of surgeons like, Prof. Dr. Tejas Motiwale with 13 years of experience and Readers Dr. Rahul Chajjlani, Dr.Nikit Agrawal, Dr. Gazala Parveenand, Dr. Sumit Patidar, Dr. Nidhi Singh Baghel and Dr. Sandesh Jain as Senior lecturer.
